I have told you a lot about my movie world, but I have never written anything about my favorite books. Maybe it is because I think that our favorite piece of literature is a quite private thing. It can tell a lot about our sensibility, intelligence, sense of humor and our perspective on the world. But, I decided to reveal you some part of my secret.. I think that everyone have a few books without he couldn't exist (I hope so!). They help you survive some difficult moments, brings your memories or you just feel some kind of relationship with the heroes. Some books gives you the answers you are looking for, or simply makes you laugh out loud. I have 3 favorite titles witch I can reread hundred times and it always seems like the first time.

3. The Little Prince of Antoin de Saint-Exupéry

I think I will never feel too old for this book, is that mean that I fully understood the message of this masterpiece? I think this is the case! The Little Price was published for the first time in 1943 and at present it is the most- translated book in the world. I love each lesson given to us, but my favorite part is the one with the fox. This book is like a review of all the emotions, the good ones and the bad ones. That story always let me distance myself from the problems, keep calm and find the “other way”. I love the language and the rhythm of the original, but I just admire the polish translation. When I read Little Prince I feel peaceful, it really makes me calm, it almost feels like to be with a bestie, who always knows what's the best for us.

2.The Claudine series of Colette

Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is my favorite French author, I felt in love with him one day in summer. I was incredibly bored, so I decided to rearrange the books on the etagere in my room. There was a lot of my mother's books which she read when she was in her 20's. I found there a treasure – „Claudine in School”, and the other one „Claudine in Paris” and I just started to read them. I read them everywhere I went and all the time. When I finished the last one, I found out from the Internet that there is also another one, so I started to look for it, but I couldn't find the version of the cover that I had. After 3 years the book found me in some second-hand bookshop, and now I have all of them. I read them always in summer, sometimes all of them sometimes one, sometimes just few pages, but it is like a tradition. My big dream is to collect all of them in French and read in original. But I didn't tell you yet why it is so special. The atmosphere, the breeze of France of the late XIX century, the other world the same problems. It tells a story about growing-up, about becoming a women. We meet Claudine when she is in age of 15 and then we accompany her through few periods of her life. The novel is assumed to be biographical, maybe that's why everything is so sincere and real. There are some controversial moments in this book, but they are also the subjects that everyone have to resolve and the questions to answer.

1. Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote

My favorite story in the world. I love movie with Audrey Hepburn but the book.... I love Capote's pure american style, I love the ambiance of New York of 50's and 60's witch we can feel from the first pages of his novels. I love the heroes who are fine-tuned in every inch. I love the sense of humor, the emotions, the relations between heroes and the city. Holly Golightly (the main protagonist) have very big influence on my way oh thinking about love and independence. All of this make this my favoritism book, which I read hundreds times and I never have enough.

I am conscious that those stories are not so important like for example The Lord of The Rings or Hobbit of J.R.R. Tolkien (which are also one of my favorites books ;)) or The Catcher in the Rye of Salinger or In Search of the Lost Time of Marcel Proust, but they mean to me a great deal.

Thank You Walt Disney!

The day before yesterday we were celebrating Children's Day and like always this day makes me think about my childhood. I remember a lot of nice moments, all my favorite toys, games, the hours spent on doing a puzzle, but the most joyful moments are related with Disney's movies. All birthday presents, time spent with my sister in front of TV, singing and performing particular scenes of animations, the smile on my father's face when he gave me the new videotape.
All of this wouldn't be possible without man who's work gave me and millions of other children happiness, man who continue to inspire me now, when I am adult.

I prepared for you 10 facts about Walt Disney which you might never heard of:
  1. Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, in 1905.
  2. Before he became big movie producer he had distributed news papers and he had been driver of ambulances during The First World War.
  3. He had two daughters : Diana and Sharon who loved very much. He took great pleasure in driving them to school every day.
  4. He began developing his skills as a drawer when he was a child. He was drawing cartoon pictures of his neighbor's horses.
  5. His first big cartoon creation wasn't Mickey Mouse but Oswald The Lucky Rabbit created for Universal Studio in 1927. Here you can watch cartoon with Oswald:
  6. In 1928 he created Mickey Mouse, his the most popular creation, the icon of his brand. Mickey's original name was Mortimer but Mrs Disney said that it sound „too pompous” so Disney changed the name to Mickey. But all funs of old Disney cartoons know that the name Mortimer was given to Mickey's rival.
  7. Walt Disney was the voice of Mickey Mouse until 1947.
  8. He won the record number of Oscars. To be precise he was nominated 59 times, he won 22 Oscars and 3 honorary statues (for creating Mickey Mouse, for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” , for “Fantasia” and its contribution to sound design. The Oscer for “Snow White and Seven Dwarfs” was particular, lets see:
  9. He wasn't a nice boss as we could think about him. He was quick-tempered and critical. When his employee came to his office and said I have a great idea he always replayed "I'll tell you if it's great. Right now all you have is an idea." The more successful he was, the less attention he paid to his overworked employees. That's provoke a lot of quarrel and unpleasant situations, the worst was in 1941 when 200 of Disney' employees picketed outside the studio.
  10. Despite all the disputes, he was dreamer and creative man who knew how to reach success. He is author of my favorite citation which I always have in my mind :

We love you Woody Allen!

Who is this man?
I present to you my favourite director Allan Stewart Konigsberg better known as Woody Allen. Director, screenwriter, actor, writer, musician and one of the most inspiring person of our world. I saw the biggest part of his movies and I am a fan of all of them not matter of subject, a a decade or cast everyone is magic, charming, authorial and filed with intelligence, irony and humour. Can I say which one is my favourite? No! But I have my the best 3 of Woody Allen and I strongly recommend you all of them.

The first one is „Manhattan Murder Mystery”, the real pearl in the genre of dark comedies. We can see in this movie my favourite Allen’s movie duet so him and Diane Keaton. The movie is about how difficult could be relation after years of marriage and how one stranger event can fix this. Like always it is master of the  piece if we talk about man-women relation and differences and how it is difficult to agree with other people. This is also really good written screenwrite who keep on edge.

Then „ The Curse of the Jade Scorpion”
Also, dark comedy combined with crime movie. Very funny, stylish and easy movie for Friday night. Plot is verry good built and we don't know how it will finish. And, I am sure about that, you will burst with laughter.

And the third „Midnight in Paris”
Why I love this movie? Because of Paris, romantic nature of the main character, fantastic story and really good acting. This is a movie for all dreamers and all fans of 1920’s.

But why we actually love Woody Allen’s movies? I found 7 the most important reasons:

1. Intelligence and humour which we can find in dialogues.

2. The music! Thanks to Woody Allen I loved Jazz. He has the really good taste in music and all playlist from his movies are my favourite soundtrack for studying. If you haven’t heard jet his bans I vividly recommend you „Woody Allen And His New Orleans Jazz Band”

3. He has the talent for showing places. Paris, Rome, Barcelona, New York. When you watch his movies you just want to be there immediately.

 4. His movies touche a lot of aspects of life: relationships, differences between generations, mental troubles, loneliness, different cultures and he never left you without reflexion about mentioning the subject.

5. Cast, cast, cast, cast: Diane Keaton as Carol Lipton and Anny Hall, Helen Hunt as Betty Ann Fitzgerald, Mira Sorvino as Linda Ash, Penelope Cruz as Maria Elena, Owen Wilson as Gil Pender, Adrien Brody as Salvador Dali (<3) or Colin Firth as Stanley. Sometimes you don’t know if the screenplay is written for the actor or actor is perfectly match for the role.

6. Personalities... each one is realistic because has own unique aspect. Each one is perfectly and consequently built.

7. Realistic language and situations which make that you really feel like the characters talk to you.

 We love you, Woody Allen!

ASMR

Hi!

I have not been here for a long time, but I'm coming back with (I hope) a nice topic.
Everyone has those days. You are late, you haven't eaten breakfast, your tram is not coming,

you stained  your shirt eating something quickly, the presentation over which you worked a few days did not go out as you wanted,

and in addition, the boss calls you, dissatisfied with the results of your work. To sum up your day sucks and you are a bundle of nerves. What do you do after back home?
Everyone has the golden mean, the mine is ASMR.
The autonomous sensory meridian response it is a nice feeling of tingling sensations on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. We experience ASMR thanks to stimuli. What they are? The most basic are:
  • sounds ( like whispers, rustles, sound of scratching, cutting or of water)
  • visual stimuli (hand movements, eye contact)
  • role plays ( a hairdresser's scene, medical scene) when visual and sound stimulus are conjunct.
ASMR can help you fall asleep or relax but not everyone reacts in the same way and for the same stimuli. For you, the sounds of water can be very pleasant and relax and for someone else strongly irritating.

Here you have 4 proposition of ASMR channels on youtube which are my favourite:  2 polish and 1 French but everywhere you can also find some video in English(so you can also learn English in a a pleasant way.:D) Just try, maybe you will be laughing like my boyfriend or you will fall in love in this method like me. :)

Ladies and Getelmen, Frida Kahlo!

Hello Everyone,
How do you like 2018 so farI like it very much, because it started very good,  from a large dose of
inspiration. On February 2nd I made my dream come true and I finally went to Zamek Culture Center to
visite the exhibition: "Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The Polish Context".
My love to Frida started couple years ago after I watched movie "Frida" with Salma Hayek. Since than I
have been reading a lot about her life and painting style.

This is the first and the only exhibition like this. It is devided into two parts. The first one presents Frida
Kahlo’s and Diego Rivera’s masterpieces which come from the private collection of Mexican art of
Natasha and Jacques Gelma. In this part we can admire many paintings and drawings, as well as learn
something about this extraordinary couple. The second one is dedicated to "Polish context", that is works
and history of 2 artists born in Poland - Photographer Bernice Kolko, Frida's close friend and painter Fanny Rabel,
her student. We can also learn something about the Exhibition of Mexican Art, which took place in
Poland in 1955 and mysterious disappearance of one of Frida's paintings "La Mesa Herida"- "The
Wounded Table".
For me the best experience was the firspart, when I could spend some time with Frida's works, her
emotions, her pain, her way of thinking and her great talent. If you want also take part in this unusual
event you have to hurry up! It is a temporary exhibition and January 21 is the last day when you can meet
Frida's spirit in Poland.

Here you have 2 paintings which I like the most...

Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone!

I want to wish Merry Christmas! Lovely Time with family, a lot of delicious, beautiful and funny moments. And of course great presents.

I am already after
Christmas dinner and I am lying with my cat in bed, I am eating chocolates and I am watching my favourite Christmas film...

I love "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". I watch this movie each year, this is for me like little, private tradition. And you? How about your Christmas? Do you have little Christmas traditions or routines?

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I have told you a lot about my movie world, but I have never written anything about my favorite books. Maybe it is because I think tha...
