Ladies and Getelmen, Frida Kahlo!

Hello Everyone,
How do you like 2018 so farI like it very much, because it started very good,  from a large dose of
inspiration. On February 2nd I made my dream come true and I finally went to Zamek Culture Center to
visite the exhibition: "Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The Polish Context".
My love to Frida started couple years ago after I watched movie "Frida" with Salma Hayek. Since than I
have been reading a lot about her life and painting style.

This is the first and the only exhibition like this. It is devided into two parts. The first one presents Frida
Kahlo’s and Diego Rivera’s masterpieces which come from the private collection of Mexican art of
Natasha and Jacques Gelma. In this part we can admire many paintings and drawings, as well as learn
something about this extraordinary couple. The second one is dedicated to "Polish context", that is works
and history of 2 artists born in Poland - Photographer Bernice Kolko, Frida's close friend and painter Fanny Rabel,
her student. We can also learn something about the Exhibition of Mexican Art, which took place in
Poland in 1955 and mysterious disappearance of one of Frida's paintings "La Mesa Herida"- "The
Wounded Table".
For me the best experience was the firspart, when I could spend some time with Frida's works, her
emotions, her pain, her way of thinking and her great talent. If you want also take part in this unusual
event you have to hurry up! It is a temporary exhibition and January 21 is the last day when you can meet
Frida's spirit in Poland.

Here you have 2 paintings which I like the most...

You'll thank me later

Hello everyone!
Do you have plans for this evening?
-  Yes? Great! Good for you.
- No? Great! I have a proposition for you.

Today I would like to present my idol from primary school times - Adrian Monk!

He is the hero of  Ameican comedy-drama detective mystery television series created by Andy Breckman "Monk", broadcast from 2002 to 2009. It is a story about the former police officer, who was suspended due to psychical issues after his wife's death. After unsuccessful reinstatement, he becomes the private consultant for the San Francisco Police Department.
Adrian Monk is one of the best (if not the best!) detectives in the world and one of the most charming characters in tv series! He suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and many many phobias (like milk, snakes, germs and the other)!

But what makes Adian world's best detectives are his little unperfections, or shall we say strive for perfection? He is fully aware of his OCD symptoms and phobias, but as long as they help him do his job, he gets up every next morning. As he use to say: "It's a gift and a curse!".
This series is full of fantastic characters and funny dialogues which amuse every single time.
It was very good to meet Adrian and watch all this funny and interesting episodes ones again.
I really recommend you this series.

Chase Got Talent

Hi!

Today I would like to share with you my new discover - Chase Goehring. This young boy was called by
internet „a new Ed Sheeran”, but for me he is unique. He seems very honest and autentic. But let’s start from the beginning... Recently I have found a video of Chase’s audition to the newest America’s Got Talent edition and I just
fell in love in his music. Chase Goehring cames from Nolensville, he is just 21 years old but he know how to charm the public. His an gituar player and singer, what is impressive is the fact that he writes
lyrics and music himself. Each song is really emotional, sometimes also funny and each contains
a surprise in Eminem’s style. He was appreciated by jury, in the lap of “Judge Cuts DJ Khaled pressed
his Golden Buzzer for Chase. That meant that regardless of opinion of the others judges he pass straigh to the quartfinals. Chase was n the finals but , unfortunately, he didn't win. It does not change the fact that he has an extraordinaty talent and his music pull in. Here you have compilation of his three performances, but watch out it's highly addicting!

Let me know if you also like Chase and his style.

Spooky November

Hello everyone!
I know that Halloween is over but November has some spooky atmosphere which stayed with me for 2 or 3 weeks when Christmas fever starts for good. So in autumn's Fridays I choose to treat in place of tricks, I entwine myself with the blanket and I watch some good movies. Do you also like the cozy way to spend your time? Perfect! Here you have the list of 4 films to watch this November:

1.Sleepy Hallow (1999)

It is a great Tim Burton’s movie in old style with amazing costumes and scenography. A young policeman from New York, Ichabod Crane cames to Sleepy Hallow to solve a case of murders. Murders allegedly being the work of a rider without a head. If reasonable Crane who believes only in things what he can examine will solve the secret of ghost cutting heads of following victims? You have to see it and I am sure that it will be a pleasure, not only because of young Johny Deep.

2.The Addams Family (1991)

I know, I know... that is probably nothing new for anybody but it is a classic. I have a lot of sentiment for this film because it was the first one that impressed me a lot when I was a kid. This atmosphere, characterization, sens of humor and of course tango scene. Even If you have seen this movie why not see it again?

3.Beetlejuice (1988)

I think that it is very weird movie and that "special effects" can make laugh but is good to give him a chance for 2 reasons.
First of all, characterization which was awarded the Oscar in 1989. Secondly, an idea... Tim Burton in joined fantasy with black comedy but also a plot is interesting.  Adam and Barbara are ghosts, they are living in house that is bought by living and they are not happy. They are trying to get rid tenants but unsuccessfully so they decide to call Beetlejuice, bio-exorcist.

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas ( 1993)

Tim Burton's animation realized in a classic way with beautiful, fairy music.Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king, has a pretty constant routine for preparing Halloween. Fate makes that he getting into the Christmas town. Fascinated Jack decides to create his own version of this feast. For realizing this dream he kidnaps Santa Claus and replaced him with the task of giving gifts, All this, however, does not bring the intended result and ends with a Christmas nightmare. It is my favorite one for the end of November when I start to feel the magic of Christmas.

So as you can see I am a big fan of Burton's productions. I love that movie because they are not really scary like Ring but they have this specific climate.
If you know others movies like that please let me know in the commentary.
